I can’t get mp3 audiobook files onto my 3rd generation ipod touch?
I found a site that gave out the bible in audiobook “fragments”/chapters/mp3 files. I downloaded the whole Revelation as a single zip file and all of the files/chapters within that zip file are now in my itunes library aligned in a list separately as if they were songs by the same artist.
I’ve tried converting them manually into audiobook format, but no matter what format I convert them to, it does not show up when I sync my ipod with my computer.
Can anyone help me out here?
First, make sure your files are MP3 format. Secondly, make sure you add them to your iTunes library by clicking: File>>Add File to Library(If you group all your content together, you can add a folder instead). Now pick your audiobook(s). Thirdly, make sure you enable syncing audiobooks on your iPod. To do this, plug your iPod in and wait for it to sync, or stop it from syncing. Then go to said iPod under Devices in the left hand column. Now go to the audiobooks tab make sure “Sync Audiobooks” is check and that the content you wish to sync onto your iPod is checked off.
The third part is a common thing people forget or don’t realize to do. If you add apps or other material to your library from a non iTunes Store source, they won’t show up, just like your audio books.
